HOGAR es una performance teatral y un cortometraje que utiliza la realidad cotidiana y presente de sus protagonistas como material de inspiración y creación: el viaje de dos jóvenes en busca de una concepción del Hogar.

HOME es un proyecto bilingüe que fue creado y estrenado en Septiembre del 2007 en Inglaterra y será estrenado en Chile el 3 de Enero del 2008 en Lastarria 90.

HOME en Chile enfrenta un desafió: hablar del Hogar estando en el país de origen, es indispensable que el espectáculo se modifique y se adapte a la parte del proceso en que se encuentran sus protagonistas, ya que laura&marta siguen viajando.

El texto se genera a partir de improvisaciones y de la colaboración de personas que han respondido a las preguntas publicadas en este Blog. Para el estreno en Chile hay nuevas preguntas que esperan ser contestadas por usted.

HOME sostiene un dialogo directo con el espectador a través de un lenguaje simple y muchas veces irónico. El limite entre la actuación y la no-actuación se cuestiona constantemente. Durante la performance en vivo sus protagonistas buscan mantenerse en un estado de “tiempo presente continuo” con respecto a sus acciones y relaciones entre ellas y con los espectadores, sin ningún pudor exponen su reflexiones acerca del ser y la memoria.

HOME es una road-movie de 20 minutos de duracion que explora y examina diversas nociones acerca del hogar: Que es el hogar? A que perteneces cuando no estas en tu hogar?

HOME comienza cuando Paula Aros Gho y Trinidad Piriz Correa (ambas Chilenas y artistas dedicadas a la performance) se encuentran en Londres y deciden colaborar juntas. El motivo de su trabajo surge de la refleccion acerca de la situacion de extranjeria en la cual se encuentran. Situacion que ellas describen como una soledad inminente y una posicion donde el "sentido de pertencia" se deforma para readecuarse a ese otro lugar.

Durante su estadia en Londres Paula y Trini deciden deshacerse de su antigua identidad y se bautizan como laura&marta. Desde ese momento asumen que buscaran en sus vidas cotidianas fuentes de inspiracion para su creacion artistica. En Septiembre 2007 laura tiene que volver a Devon (sur de Inglaterra) laura&marta sacan provecho de esta situacion y deciden realizar un viaje de ruta camino a Lands End, Cornwall. Tienen la intuicion que haciendo este viaje finalemnte encontrara respuestas a sus preguntas y quiza tambien encontrara su hogar.

HOME is a road-movie of 20 minute long that explores and examines notions of home: What is home? Where do you belong when you are not at home?

HOME starts when Paula Aros Gho and Trinidad Piriz (both Chilean performance artists developing their master studies) meet in London and they decide to collaborate together. The subject emerges from the reflection about the foreign situation the protagonists are being part of. Situation they describe as an imminent solitude and a position where the “belonging sense” is bent to be re-located in this other place.

While in London Paula and Trini decided to get rid of their old identity and they rename themselves as laura&marta. From that moment they determine to search in their everyday lives source of inspiration for the arising of their art. On September 2007 laula has to go back her University in Devon, laura&marta take advantage of this situation and decide to do a road trip towards Lands End, Cornwall. They have the intuition that by making this trip they will finally find the answers and maybe their home.

HOME ha sido proyectada y creada para ser una performance adaptable al lugar de presentacion, ya que la pregunta acerca del hogar nace a partir de la situacion extranjera en que se encuentran actualmente sus protagonistas.

Laura.- Marta, ¿Qué es el Hogar?
Marta.- El Hogar soy yo, es mi cuerpo, es mi mente
El hogar es la calma que siento
cuando mi cuerpo va cediendo
y entro de a poco al sueño

Marta.- Laura, ¿Qué es el Hogar?
Laura.- El Hogar son mis recuerdos,
ellos se acumulan y construyen
una casa con baño, con patio,
dormitorios y gatos.
El Hogar está donde uno está
porque es lo que te sucede.
Uno vive construyendo ese Hogar
para llegar a la casa completa
que es el lugar en que te mueres.

Laura.- Marta, what is Home?
Marta.- Home is me, is my body, is my mind
Home is the calm I feel
When my body gives up
And I give myself to slumber

Marta.- Laura, what is home?
Laura.- Home are my memories,
they gather together and build
a house with bathroom, garden,
beds and cats.
Home is where you are,
because it is what happens to you
You live building that Home
for in the end have the complete house
and die in it.

smoking moderately, enjoying enjoyment, looking, relaxing to see,
loving nightly, finding amusement, encouraging life, fighting boredom,
being natural, daydreaming, travelling along, drawing occasionally,
talking lightly, tea drinking, felling tired, dancing sometimes,
philosophising a lot, criticising never, whistling tunefully,
dying very slowly, laughing nervously, greeting politely,
and waiting till the day breaks.
